Alice Liu
Vice-President of Communications
Alice is currently in her fourth year of the Co-op Management program. She joined Investment Society two years ago as a Marketing Associate and has since taken on the role of Vice- President of Communications. Being a part of Investment Society has allowed her to take on new challenges and get out of her comfort zone. In her spare time, she enjoys singing (namely jazz), drawing portraiture, reading, and travelling. Currently, she is also self-studying Korean.
Abira Rupagantha
Communications Manager
Abira is currently in her third year of the Co-op Management program. She plans on specializing in accounting and, upon graduation, she would like to pursue her CA designation. This is Abira’s second year with Investment Society. She joined the organization to learn more about finance and investment, as well as to get involved and meet new people at UTSC. As the Communications Manager for the 2011- 2012 academic year, she hopes to contribute to the growth of the organization by making students more aware of IS and all the great events and resources it has to offer. In her spare time, Abira enjoys reading; her favourite books include White Oleander by Janet Fitch and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
Charles Zhou
Communications Associate
Charles Zhou is a fourth year student majoring in Economics. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in Equity Research. Charles joined Investment Society to increase campus awareness and help other students learn more about finance. He hopes to gain more exposure to the various fields of finance by being around like-minded individuals. In his spare time, Charles is a big car enthusiast, likes going to the gym when he can and occasionally plays badminton.
