The Events department plans and organizes Investment Society’s events.

Christine Yan
Events Director
Christine is currently a fourth year student in the Management program, specializing in finance. Upon graduation, she would like to obtain her CFA designation and secure a job in a large financial institution. Christine joined Investment Society to enrich her university life and to meet new people who share the same interests and enthusiasm. In being part of Investment Society, she has not only developed important soft skills such as interpersonal and organizational skills, but she has also obtained a better understanding of the financial world. In her spare time, Christine enjoys photography and various sports.

Tony Wu
Events Director
Tony is currently in his fourth year of the Management program, specializing in finance. He hopes to obtain his CFA designation, study at a top-tier MBA program, and eventually work as a fund manager. Tony joined Investment Society to enrich his university experience and meet new people. By being part of the Investment Society team, he is looking forward to obtaining valuable skills and knowledge that will equip him for a successful career in the finance field. Tony enjoys singing and playing basketball during his spare time.

Araphe Yokeswaran
Events Associate
Araphe is currently in her third year of the Co-op Management program. She plans on pursuing a career in, either, accounting or finance and, upon graduation, wishes to pursue a MBA degree. She joined Investment Society to learn more about finance, meet new people, and to develop as a business professional. Araphe hopes to provide students with exciting events and other great IS opportunities. Her hobbies include travelling, reading (i.e. Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer and House of Night Novels by P.C. Cast), watching TV (i.e. One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries), and spending time with family and friends.
